iTouch 3rd party apps don't run

While the native applications on my 2nd gen iTouch seem to work fine, when I touch any of my add-on apps they launch, but in a few seconds I'm right back at the start page.

I'd prefer not having to do a hard reset. Any ideas?
 
Horray! Resyncing seems to have cleared the problem. Not too sure whether it was a straight resync or an iTunes upgrade that did the trick...
