For some reason the side pipes have been in my head for a few months now. Something small and light would be fun for getting around town.

Thinking about this, though I wouldn't be looking forward to dealing with title issues. -

Also thinking about getting something modern, but that would depend on how paychecks work out, maybe a winter purchase.

That's old school, I like it. The title problem would make me walk though, here in CA, the DMV would jack you around for years.

I love bikes of all years, but unless you are a dedicated garage mechanic, I wouldn't get a classic one if I were you.

Check out the "Modern Classic" Scrambler Triumph offers. It is the mechanical equal of any bike built today, which means it will not require constant maintenance.
