Nice toys, those Gigabytes seem to be one the better overclocking cards.

How much were they ?

FRIDAY!?!?!?!?! That's two (2) whole days away!!!! Look like nice cards. Never bought a video card from Gigabyte but plenty of MBs.

They were $399 each. I thought about 7870CF, but decided to spend the extra coin for the added mem/bandwidth. Will be my first Gigabyte cards. I've been eyeing them since they launched the "SOC" cards. Nice PCB and cooler, though they went plastic from aluminium on the shroud with this latest cooler version.

Honestly, I'm okay with that since there is no functional difference between plastic and aluminum on the shroud. Also the cards will be slightly lighter, which helps avoid droopy cards when installed.

I was just eyeballing that card earlier at work... looks like fun.
Any idea how much a used MSI 460 gtx 1Gb cyclone is worth these days? :D

Yea the more I look at it vs. the old shroud, not a big deal. Cooler and PCB = more important. I did some digging and found PCB pics, they're using more chokes and capacitors than MSI or Powercolor's non-ref's. Cooler to GPU contact looks great, interesting offset area to match GPU layout:

No point buying second hand for more than 70% of the new price of the cheapest new card or it's alternative in this case 6850 or 460
