I am trying to install a Hauppauge PVR-350 video capture card into my Abit IT7-Max2-Rev2 mobo. Although the Windows XP P&P function recognizes the card and installs the necessary drivers, the IT7 will not allocate an IRQ to it. The installation process ends with a "This device cannot start - Code 10" error. The PVR-350 appears in the device manager with a yellow asterick and no assigned IRQ.

I have removed all other cards except the NVidia graphics card so there are four empty PCI slots. I tried installing the PVR-350 in each of the four PCI slots without success. I ran into this same problem some time ago, when I first installed the IT7, with an older Hauppauge WinTV card but just gave up then because the WinTV card was simply unimportant at the time. This leads me to believe there is in an incompatibility with the PVR -350, the IT7, and/or the NVidia card.

Any suggestions or insight into this problem would certainly be appreciated. I am posting in this forum because I suspect this is more of an issue with the Abit IT7 mobo than with the PVR-350 capture card.
