The IT7 is known to read the processor temp 8-11 degrees higher than reported. I don't have my Digital Doc installed at the moment, and the battery in my Compunurse probe is dead. I plan on getting a battery tomorrow and running a probe to at least check the heatspreader temp for comparison.

I have done this before, and if I remember correctly, my IT7 was off by 8 degrees.

I have one more questiron. My DDR voltage is at 3.18 constantly, isn't that over specs? How can I lower it?

Thanks

I did not think that there was a setting for vdimm to be 3.1+v. Is this reading from the BIOS or another source.

Sent you a PM, and download MBM Here.

Your temps on this board do read about 5-8C higher than many other boards like Technonut mentioned.

Yeah, jhites, that reading was from the BIOS and from MBM. It saids (on MBM) CORE 1 --> 3.15/3.15/3.17/3.16V

I don't think tha'ts normal, because in the BIOS it saids that's TOO high as well.

I am running a Abit BD7II, but I think that the vdimm should be the same as mine. Three settings of 2.5, 2.6, 2.7 and the Abit boards undervolt which gives about 0.02v less than that shown. Make sure that you are reading the voltage for the vdimm and not the +3.3 line.

Someone with the IT7 can confirm. The default for the vcore should also show about 0.02v under.

Sounds like your board may have a problem. Check MBM sensor chips to make sure that it is picking up the correct one's.

IT7
Sensor Chip = W83627HF
Case Sensor = Winbond 1
CPU Sensor = Winbond 2 - P2 Diode

The board reads temp high on my IT7 Max2 rev2...I have used only one usb2 port ..HP printer and this has been fine

I used the onboard sound at first and it worked fine then I put my Aureal Vortex 2 card back in and winxp is ok with it

What slots do you have the scsi card in?

if I recall correctly I believe slot 3 shares no IRQ so try putting the scsi card there and then try the sound again

check at Paul FAQ..... Slot 3 no irq sharing
