Eeesh. This movie REQUIRED he looked dumbfounded the whole time. If you've been told your whole reality is an illusion, and you're going to lead the human race towards a victory over the machines, you'd have one of two reactions:

1. Total and utter shock and speechlessness.
2. Psychotic episodes and other fun stuff.

Neo, since he eventually had to go on to fight the machines, went the former route. Keanu pulled it off perfectly.

I LOVED The Gift. Totally related to it, too.

Carrie-Anne Moss was the ONLY thing that redeemed Red Planet - But she did a damn good job of it.
