First I want to start by thanking every one who helped out, by answer all of my posts. I just built my first PC.

AMD 3500+ 939
ASUS A8V Deluxe
480W TRUE BLUE ANTEC
ANTEC SILVER PERFORMANCE CASE
1 Gig of Corsair ValueSelect
NEC 16x DVD burner
160GB SEAGATE

Now I have a few questions. First I would like to know of any secure sites(spyware free) were I can go study up on how to tweak my computer for best performance? Does anybody have any advice on what I should do to tweak my computer? Next, I need some good anti virus software. I am willing to spend up to a 100$. I don't know if it is simply between Norton and Macifee? What is the difference between Norton Antivirus software and Norton Systems Works? Last I heard that SP 2 causes problems to your system and it doesn't work well with the 64 bit systems unless you know how to config it right. If this is true could I please get some advice and help on SP 2? How to config it and is it worth having?

I have some advice right here.

1) get a firewall program going NOW if you don't have a router providing you with firewall protection.

2) If you do have broadband, order yourself a router. They're a great outside firewall and they let you hook up multiple PCs to your broadband, and they don't cost much. Netgear RP614 or Linksys BEFSR41 are a couple to look for.

3) get SP2 installed (works fine on my A64 at any rate) and go through the steps I suggested under the Ongoing prevention section, including enabling Data Execution Prevention for all programs.

3) McAfee VirusScan 8.0 or 8.0 Pro are easy to set up and update compared to the Norton I've used recently, so you might consider McAfee. You can get OEM VirusScan 8.0 from MWave.com for under $15 if I recall correctly, just got to order some sort of hardware item with it.

Congratulations on your new rig, by the way  Looks sweet!
