It WORKS!!!............Well, it DID work.

Okay, so I just finished putting my new system together:

FX 55
Zalman 7000B
1GB Corsiar XMS
BFG 6800 Ultra OC
WD 74 GB Raptor x2
TDK DVD RAM
FDD
Lian Li 1000B
Enermax Noisetaker 600w

I turned it on, it POSTs fine. I set the clock in the BIOS. I save and exit bios. Reboot. Get the boot drive error msg I was expecting. Turn off system. Put rear cover on Lian Li. Push button to restart system. NOTHING. I still have power b/c when you cycle the psu the LAN lights flicker. I checked and re-connected the power switch to the MB and still nothing.

Ideas?

Already tried that. No luck. I do have a random case laying around so I was thinking about hooking up just its power switch to the new rig and see if that worked. Then it would prove if its a bad switch.

EDIT: It's not the switch.

did you reset the bios with the jumper ?
if you can get into the bios turn off the error for missing drives, and boot to the floppy.
make sure the power is plugged into the card.
use only 1 stick of ram.
unplug dvdrom
use nothing but cpu 1 stick of ram and video,,, if you have an old video card laying around try that... if it runs fine start putting hardware back in 1 by 1

I have found the prob. If I wiggle the power cord to the MB it will turn on. So, it would seem I have a short in one of the leads from my psu. CRAP! But atleast now I know.

Thanks guys. I'm off to RMA. >:-(
