And I wake up to a flooded basement :(

One centimeter higher and my nephews presents would be ruined :(

Merry Christmas everybody :)

The cellar here has been flooded at least 3 times. After the second time, we finally installed a sump pump. Third time, the water found another way - the back outside door is around ground level, and the ground slopes in toward the house (on 3 sides actually) - the water flowed right in. Luckily it hasn't rained like that in awhile now. Water was about an inch deep each time. Everything in the cellar is now on 2-by-4's. Big fun.
Ok, there's my story. Next?:)

Are your computers ok, nagger?:D

Sorry to hear about the basement, nagger :(

Glad the presents weren't actually ruined(?)

I hope you get it sorted, and have a happy Christmas anyway :)

Twas the night before Christmas, and all through the house,
Everything was floating, including the mouse.
The nephew's presents placed on the table with care,
Dasm lucky the water didn't rise up there.
Nagger in the basement, cleaning up he did trudge,
Mopping up water, slime, muck, and sludge.
Despite this adversity, we wish you good cheer,
And have a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

:)

Sorry for the flooded basement :(, glad the nephew's packages are ok. :)
may you have a joyful and uneventful rest of the year! :D

LOL ray,

We (me and my father) cleaned the basement and now we're enjoying the wait until midnight so we can watch the kids play with their presents :)

As for my presents, I'm gonna look so surprised when I open the following presents:

- Unreal Tournment 2003;
- Medal of Honor Spearhead;
- Pinnacle PCTV-Pro.

eheheheh :)

Nagger - go get a de-humidifier and start it running to prevent molding!

We finally managed to get my 11 yr old to start flushing if he went to the head late at night. While I was in Billings, he flushed and it never stopped. The wife woke up to water in the bath, 3 bedrooms, the hall and living room. My Christmas present is several pallets of tile I get to lay to replace all the carpet in the hall, baths & kitchen. We have yet to decide what to do with the bedrooms.

I'd rather have another computer!
