I never cared for Kirk though. I grew up watching TNG, and never cared much for the original series, though the even numbered movies were alright. ST: IV was a bit weird though. A space probe trying to communicate with whales. Hmm, there are blue whales, and toothed whales. Maybe whales had Bluetooth before we did?

Trek IV was the best of the series. They were all dumb, but IV was unabashedly stupid. Party tip: Watch Trek IV and drink every time you see a fire extinguisher.
