UPDATE:

10:38am MTN. The bastards clued in and changed the account, did a "reverse deposit" and yanked the cash. Im cashless yet again :)
Just thought I'd let yah all know hehehe

-------------------------------------------------------

This is my older chequing account i started when i was a kid, i rarely use it, other htan to pay off my visa card through this bank. My primary chequing and savings account is iwth another bank, so its been a few months since i have looked or logged onto the older one.

So I do so today and what do i see but a bank credit of 77 grand!! i went from 12 bucks to 77 grand and 12 bucks!
It was deposited a couple days ago and hasn't been fixed.

I've had this account since i was like 11 years old, but i dont remmeber buying any bonds that would mature at that rate...

odd...

Do i call the bank tomorow to inquire? or hold on a bit longer and see if it will stay there after a month?

at least it is a positive amount and not negative :) hehehe

but I'd either leave it or talk to the bank. your choice. don't spend it, no matter what you do.

keep it, the bank doesnt need anymore money ;) just leave the cash in there for a couple of months and if nothing happens then go get yourself a new car :D

I KNOW I KNOW!! its a gift from heaven!!

Since i have no valentine date, i should go withdraw 20 bucks, get a ATM bank note slip, and then go find a hot girl and say "hey baby want my number?" and scribble it on the back of my ATM paper slip hahaha

:) :) :) :) :)

btw, the deposit was from the bank, it was described as a "credit adjustment"

Exactly. If the bank decides to correct the error, they'll take it out of your account. And, if you've happened to spend it, they'll make you pay it back.

Wait until you talk to them. If they tell you that it is not an error, get it in writing and spend like crazy :)

some people are joking around about cashing it out but the guys are right, don't touch it. Report it to your bank. This is not monopoly, where you get free cash for bank errors.
