I remember when they appeared on Ed Sullivan......

I am still amazed that a compilation album put out decades after their breakup took the top spot on the album charts for 7 weeks.....and this was last year, right? Speaks volumes about the quality of music out now and how good their stuff was and still is today.

We always watched Ed Sullivan at my grandparents every weekend after dinner. That particular evening was marred by my grandfather bitching about the long hair, girls screaming and everything else. The only thing I was worried about, was whether they were going to have Topo Gigio on or not!

Even after reading the article just 5 minutes ago I couldn't name a single Beatles song.

I think I might have one album of theirs in the ~1000+ full CD MP3/4 collection I have amassed.

And I'm over 21.

It's funny. When I watched footage of the Beatles first trip to America at the 20th anniversary (1984, I was 10), it seemed SO long ago. In 1984, the 60's seemed ancient. However, today 1984 doesn't seem as ancient to me. Maybe it does to a 10 year old.

BLASPHEMY!!!!!

I guess it's because my parents listened to them, and I grew up with their music. But not being able to name a Beatles tune (or 20 for that matter), is like not being able to name the Star Wars movies.

Since you mention it, I can't do that either.

I've seen them once, about two years ago.

The best part about seeing them is that Spaceballs makes a lot more sense now.
