it takes more than 2 minutes to load the "welcome" screen

Hi,

i don't know what happened, my winxp pro is acting strange today..

it usually uses 5 to 7 seconds to load the "welcome" screen page, but now it takes more than 2 minutes to load.

how can i detect what it is actually doing in the background?
winxp has not yet completely start yet though...

i've used spybot and adware to prevent ads.
