It sucks not knowing anyone with similar music tastes

Every now and then bands I really like come to town and I almost never go because no one I know knows or likes the bands and are not interested. Last time Gogol Bordello were in town, I ended up going alone, since really like them and wanted to see them.

So tomorrow Lordi are in town and its the same story again. I wonder if I should just go alone and just enjoy the music/show.

I can relate though, that sort of thing has happened to me many a time. I guess that's what we get for liking obscure bands!

I'm not even sure what concerts I'd want to go to right now. I have tickets to Reel Big Fish in January, and would probably go check out Clutch next time they are in the Chicagoland.

it sucks more in India,here rock bands=linkin park and mettalica nothing else.......if i talk to guys about foofighters/dragonforce/slipknot they think i am mad
and no one knows the underground rock bands here that are so awesome.......i go their shows alone

Same here, but we have alot of Indy & cover bands that come through and most are sellout shows.

why do "unknown" bands play in india if no one knows who they are or have no fans there?
