is also a promoter of such healthy foods as Snickers and M&M's, Sierra Mist , Fruit Loops, Frosted Flakes, Cheez-Its Keebler cookies, Happy Meals and Pop-Tarts 🙂

Some people would also see the irony in an overweight ogre asking kids to eat healthy and exercise.

Doesn't Phillip Morris sometimes talk about the dangers of smoking, while still profiting from it?

I guess it's the same thing: Warn your customers that excessive use of your products might be a health hazard. But if they're willing to continue to be customers, you might as well turn a profit.

Don't campaign people typically use those "suffering" from an "illness" to help promote awareness anyway? In this case, they're promoting awareness using an awkwardly happy character who's suffering from this illness 😛.

But Shrek is not fat, he's an ogre. Ogre are not human so they have different proportions. He's thin by ogre standards 🙂
