I don't understand the issue/problem here 😕

I dont see the problem either. Hence me asking what he makes. If he makes less then that, and lives in a city, I dont see how you could complain about the pay...... 😕

I figured the high cost areas with shyt salaries comment would be enough...

in IT, do you have a chance to move up and get into a management level position?

I'm gonna graduate next year with a double major MIS/Finance. What would be the more lucrative field? I enjoy both equally.

also, if I started in IT, worked a couple of year, could I go to get my MBA specialization in something other than IT, say Inverstment banking?

Those salaries don't seem to be realistic, but it depends so much on experience. I can't imagine any IT managers making a mere $40k in Birmingham even.

IMO, that's pretty good, especially for Arizona. my bosses (Datacenter Operations Managers) are in the low-50's, in the NYC area.

And how much do you make?

Much more than that in Tulsa, Ok.

I'd love to have the job in Scottsdale, but doubt they could afford me..
I'm in Tulsa as well.....in IT management and.....well......that salary range does seem a bit low to me.

Again, how much do you make toy? How can you say 65 or 70k isnt alot?? 😕

I make more than that and that's all you will get out of me. As I said, I live in Tulsa, Ok. I can't imaging working for less in a more expensive area...

Sorry, I missed your first reply. 😱

It really depends. As a IT Manager, I woudlnt do it for that price.
But compared to where I am NOW, I'd jump on an offer like that if I could stay local.

Kansas cost of living > all

40K for a manager position?!... I wonder what the people they manage make...
Im in the IT field, and im a lowly grunt (less than 1 year exp) and I wouldnt do this job if they gave me only 40K...

i'm demoralized by being underpaid
but i'm happy with the people i work with and the tasks that i do

a 15k/year raise would make me complete
