In the article it says that only 28% of the people interviewed in Kuwait favored the US.

That pisses me off. Had it not been for the US Kuwait would be the southern tip of Iraq right now. Why do we even bother helping people outside of the US. They all hate us.

I think this has more to do with US contact with Israel and the most recent events and not the Gulf war. People forget too quickly.

We "help" people when it suits our interest. We liberated Kuwait to ensure the free-flow of oil, not to free the Kuwait people by returning them to a monarchy.

Should that matter ? They were being murdered and their women raped, all their property was being confiscated by the Camel Buggering Hordes of Iraqi's. We saved them from that. So we did it for free flowing oil we still did it.
 
I agree that it was mostly oil... although it was kind of scary hearing that Iraq was amassing a lot of nukes. I'm sure there are plenty of countries doing that, though...

Care to back any of that up? I'm especially interested in any support you have for comment "b". Correct me if I'm wrong, but doesn't your post imply that terrorism is a good thing? You call the US ignorant, then in the same breath support terrorism. I don't think you can get much more ignorant than to support terrorism.

The provided US military support in Europe and other parts of the world.

The money invested in NATO and the UN and the Olympics.

The largest Amount of Finantial and Food Aid than any other country in the world.

Wow...I must have had my head stuck up my butt the day the "accepted" method of raising awareness of problems shifted from peaceful protest and lobbying to terrorism and violence!

And all this time I've been wasting my time and effort organizing rallies and writing to lawmakers and giving my support to peaceful NGOs when I should have been training suicide bombers.
