I thought this thread was going to be about the underground coal fire that has been burning since 1961 in Centralia, PA

The key I think is to dry out the manure. If they can make a composting toilet, why cant they dry out the manure in a drying process and press it into hard bricks. for storage or something like that so it would not be so dangerous.

I think the problem is they dont want to spend money to find an environmental solution. There are probably ways to process the waste in a way that could eliminate the odor. I have been in this area and there are entire towns next to some of these cattle processing facilities that stink horribly. I dont see how people can stand to live there.

Not only that but it can be broken down for a fuel source.

They can run a small Electrical generation facility with all that fuel.

Many States have a law that Utilities must pay you for power you add to the system.

i suggest pushing it into one big pile, covering it with a tarp, and then pump in 20,000 lbs of Co2

I don't think that would help. They could try the same method used to blow out oil fires. Just drop a 500 pound bomb in the middle and hope to spread the sh!t out enough so that it goes out.
