i have a 3ghz prescott oc'd to 3.8ghz at stock voltage (im gonna go higher, but i need to wait for my new ram to get in) . i tried a friends 3.2ghz prescott and only got to 3.6 before i had to bump up the voltage a notch.

so needless to say i went back to the 3.0 and am planning to have it oc'd to 4ghz and further as i have before (ram errors prevented me from leaving it at that speed, which is why i have ordered new ram 🙂).

so that goes to show you, a faster proc will not always oc better
