IT jobs

I'm going to join the air national guard. They'll keep my clearance active, pay for some school and certifications and stuff, give me more work experience, and provide some stability while I meander through the corporate mess looking for something better.

Prepare to do less with more headache, paperwork, and stress. The people I worked with/for were lazy, and felt entitled to a job. Politics is king, and the pay required an act of Congress (literally in my case). I make more money, get more done, and don't stress as much in Corp America.

However the hours were good, the bene's ok, and the 100% bus subsidy was cool.

Yeah im still in college and have a clearance already - standing offers with a few branches, security clearance makes life EASY.

Where are you located? The government jobs are easier to come by in the Northern va/DC Metro Area.

I've interned for the past 3 summers with government contractors - but have no direct experience at a government agency. The contractor world has been great for me, kindof chance it when contracts end and the search for new work begins.

Overall - Government work == awesome. You get lifetime health insurance

Just my opinions for what they're worth and the limited experience i have with them, most family members have government jobs though and they enjoy it.
