and don't bother wearing whatever's comfy, cuz that's trendy too

don't drive around with cars, cuz dear god everybody and their mom has one!

c'mon, be realistic, if somebody likes it they'll listen to it, whether it's popular or not

oh yeah, bemani is crap

that stuff was fun when it first came out, but after 4th/5th mix it was all downhill

i see you've been to AI, were you ever on Masa's board?

I listen to trance because it is my favourite genre of music. I do not listen to it because society deems it to be "cool". I couldn't give give a rats ass how society views it, I still LOVE it.

There is no other genre of music around that makes me feel as good and euphoric as trance does :)

I think people listening to music because others think it's cool is ridiculous. I also think that people laughing at other people because they listen to what others think is cool, is pathetic.

I like classical music, I like jazz music, I like blues music, I like alternative music, I like classic rock music, I like hard rock music, I like metal, I like pop punk, I like hardcore punk, I like "real" punk, I like some techno. Music I don't like : all boybands, Spears, Aguilera, etc... I dislike that type of music because it gets on my nerves. Especially songs like "Get ur freak on", that's the most annoying song I've ever heard.

I honestly don't give a !#@$ what others think of the music I listen to, or what they listen to. That doesn't mean I won't listen to something if someone suggests it, though.

Instead of listening to one of least popular genre's of music in the U.S., you'd rather tell people listen to the most mainstreamized band in the history of rock? Let go of your fogey music.

<< seems like everyone and their cousin now listens to trance >>

That's the biggest load of crap I've ever heard. Techno is still looked down upon moreso than any other genre in the United States. Music has far and away been the most subjective topic in the history of the world. People are not going to listen to music that they don't find pleasing.

Waaaaahhhh, people will listen to what they like. Deal with it.

Um, what is Trance? Could you link me to a sample? Is it a passing fad or will it still be around 25 years from now?

I listen to Classic Rock on the radio. I like a lot of early eighties one hit wonders and have piles of vinyl albums with obscure stuff called progressive rock 30 years ago. Lot's of Bowie, Eno and Lou Reed as well as Todd Rundgren, King Crimson and Emerson Lake & Palmer. Any of that like Trance?

I keep reading about "A really boring mix..." and stuff like that. WTF is this? Are there albums I can sample or not? Sounds like something to do with DJs too. Queer stuff!

Well, I listened a bit. If you guys like that, then you may like Gary Numan. He's been putting out this type of music since 1978. I saw the Telekon concert in Cleveland in 1980. Snapped this image and many more. Looks like he's still touring, so he may very well be doing "Trance" or something like it.

Trance music is a complex interwoven tapestry of artificial sounds arranged in an ordered form that has the ability to uplift, transport, relax, influence, and provide enjoyment for the listener.

the only place you can find good techno anymore is in tv commercials.
