Well he may have been. I think the audience was pissed they had to answer it for him so they screwed with him.

With apologies to any French here, but comedy at the expense of the French never gets old :)

Care to explain the link? I can't get to it at work.

It's a video showing the French version of millionaire. The question we see is "Which of the following rotates around the Earth?" according to the subtitles. The four options are the Sun, the Moon, Mars and Venus. The guy doesn't know the answer, and so asks the audience for help. 56% of the audience say that the Sun rotates around the Earth.

It's misleading as other posters have mentioned because they should have used the word "revolved", assuming the subtitles were accurate.

What's dumber, answering easy questions wrong, or the fact that's considered prime-time entertainment in the first place?

Well, the literal translation of the question from the French would be "What is it that gravitates around the earth?"

Pretty to hard to get that one wrong if you ask me.

This should be posted in P&N. ;)

Reminds me of that college kid, who was as CS Major.. His first question on millionaire was "What does a surge suppressor do?", and he chose the answer somewhere along the lines of *it keeps water from surging into your house..*

You know he had told all his friends and family to watch too, ugh.
