Day after day, I'm freezing my ass off in here. My hands are like icicles and I have to wear a fleece pullover or some sort of sweater to work - and I still shiver at my desk.

I have a thermometer on my desk, it says 73F. 73F is comfortable for me, but not when the AC is blowing on me the entire day.

I'm wearing a fleece pullover and a heavy jacket. But then again I am against an outside wall and am cold-natured

I don't know which is worse being cold of being hot, my office is between 80-85 depending on the day. there is something wrong withthe HVAC system and it's always really hot in here, but only in here.

Quit complaining. I work outside when it's like -15c out, or colder.

But yeah, ask if they can redirect the vent, or move your desk.

I'm always cold in my office here too.. It gets cooler in the evening though. That is when I have to sit on my hands in between posts.

At least you can put a jacket on to warm up. It sure beats having a hot office.

My office had been freezing all week too. It was 54 in here is morning.
They fixed the heat today and now it about 90.
So, be careful what you wish for.

It's 73 and you are complaining about the cold?

Ahhh hahahahaha.

I know a girl like that in the office, always wearing jackets and sweaters.... I laugh, though she laughs at me when it's 76 or 77 and I've got a fan on high blowing at my face and sweat pouring down due to the extreme heat....

You sure it's not the sub-cocular region?

John Wayne's not dead - he's frozen. And as soon as we find the cure for cancer we're gonna thaw out the duke and he's gonna be pretty pissed off. You know why? Have you ever taken a cold shower? Well multiple that by 15-million times, that's how pissed off the Duke's gonna be.

Ive worked in an office with no heat. Temp would be 40 F in the morning when I got in. Hard doing paperwork with numb fingers.

The way they designed the heat system where I work is silly. There is a big radiator and it's tied into as one zone, part of the zone is in the server room, the other zone is in the office. We had to turn it off to avoid getting temp alarms on the SAN. To make matters worse, the air conditioning ducts were also a single zone. So not only did we not have heat, but we had AC, in winter. It was about 12 degrees in the room at most times.

They finally fixed all that, but I find the new HVAC system is very weird. It's either AC, or Heat. Can't have it just, off. So if you turn the thermostat up, you get heat, if you turn it slightly down, you get AC. There's no comfortable zone. Either too hot or too cold!

They probably don't realize all the money they could save if they allowed users to simply turn off the hvac for their zone. Or at least add a "dead zone" like between 20 and 25 it stays off, or something.
