Knowing VB would be amazingly useful for me at work. I am, however, a poor college student. What version of VB should I buy? Is the student version good enough to learn on at home? Is there any reason not to go with VB.net?
It's free and it doesnt get much better than that. Naturally, you are missing a few features but you CAN create programs and you can distribute them with that. Also, if you register, you can use it past the 1 year mark.
Does your school have any type of microsoft license? We get almost all MS software for 5 dollars on cd, or free off the network. This includes developer software.
