My friend, who is American, got a Japan working for an American consulting company. He speaks Japanese fluently. His problem, however, is that he does not understand Japanese work culture. In Japan, in your first couple of years, you do as you're told, job-wise. You never question your boss. My friend did that...until at the end of year party. He was told to dress as a school-girl and perform a dance. The boss is not gay or anything but this is what he was told to do so the seniors can laugh and enjoy themselves. This is a right of passage in corporate Japan.Everyone does it. It's better when foreigners do it. He refused. After that he was not seen as a team player. Well, 3 months later he's now out of a job and is looking at my help to get his job back. When he originally told me this I laughed so hard but now I'm being asked to help out.

The Japanese are weird. The stories my brother tells me are really interesting, that and they're very racist if you're not Japanese. Funny that my brother married one though.

What do you mean "got a Japan"? And if he's working for an American consulting company, why is he putting up w/ bullshit Japanese nonsense? What? I doubt you're making this up but it doesn't make any sense at all. If that's your point, I guess I agree.

I hate bosses telling me what to do let along having to dress like a damn school girl Screw all that! I would look at this loss as a gain. He didn't lose his dignity!

Well, he loves the country and does not want to leave. In Japan, you usually work for one company for life. If you leave your current job, people will think something is wrong with you and not want to hire you.

And that is why I'll never find Asian women attractive, if a guy can dress as a girl and you can't tell it's man, that's a problem.

White people can do it too.

Your post smacks of homophobia btw. It'd be one thing if you said "If a girl looks like a guy, that's a problem" but if you can't tell that she's actually a he, doesn't that mean that even the men have feminine facial characteristics? No one will call you gay just because you accidentally drool over an exploited Japanese cubicle monkey.

Pretty easy. Dress like a school girl, beg for job back in front of everyone.

Yeah, that's teh other things they do. Drinking...at least 2 times a week. Everybody must drink. And eat with the boss.
