It Exists: eVGA 7600GS AGP @ CC B&M

I think they had 3 on the shelf in Medford, OR. Think there may have been a rebate or something. Wonder how the performance is, I'd buy one but I'm replacing my whole rig when the price drops on the X2s and I'm going PCI-E and getting a 7600GT.

So, somebody buy one and tell us if it's as big of a rip as the 7800 AGP! 😀

i bought mine last month at zipzoomfly for like 139.99 after rebate but it is a 7600GT KO Superclocked so it's a lot better than the GS version, I'm not sure but I only buy the GT version, it's maybe just me but I perfer a 6600 or 6800GT over a 7600GS
just my 0.02

At that price why not just go for the $120 refurb X800XL AGP from Ati.com

OR is the idea you want SM 3.0 and HDR? But at the resolutions you need to run this card to run it with SM3 and HDR wouldn't that just be a bad idea?

Shens. I don't ever recall seeing an AGP 7600GT.

thats gotta suck. That card should be $99-120 bucks at that performace range.
Price premium for AGP?
Consider this instead if the 128bit/gddr2 AGP class is your target :
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16814102666
(and Im a nvidia fanboy too)

This card will tear that up x1600, however. Reading some benchmarks, the 7600GS is more on the same level as the x1600xt.

But last generation's cards will still own both. X850XT for $140, anyone?

(I linked to an x1600pro, not an x1600, unless you are just guilty of lazy specifying.)
Now if you WERE referring to it being able to beat an x1600PRO, then link us up on some benchmarks please if you are going to make claims like that.
The cards both have 400/800 DDR2, 12 pipes, and AGP 4x/8x. The main difference I see is the 7600gs default core clock is 400mhz and the x1600PRO is 500mhz.
If the 7600gs at 400mhz CAN ACTUALLY beat a x1600PRO all around then I will be impressed... althought at $159 i better be- lol!

I picked up an EVGA 7600GT KO a couple days ago from CC for $159 (after $20 MIR).

It showed up online in their 5 hour daily sale a couple of days during the week.
The website showed the regular 7600GT, but when I picked it up, thye gave me the KO version.

I think Newegg has the same thing for $139 after MIR too.

Considering that the x1600Pro has only 4 TMU's, it isn't really a contest, but I'll google a review for you.

Toe to Toe with a x1600xt, excepting 3dMarks...

There you go, it took three minutes 🙂

Not that I really need to back up claims here, as google has shown. No sense posting recommendations if you aren't informed first.
