Please consider an AnandTech IT/Enterprise Computing forum to match the site section.

There's so much to learn, and so many crappy sites!

Perhaps not so much "enterprise" but small to medium business computing. I'd imagine the typical audience has a rack, possibly a few converted PC's lying around that actually service users.

Why is it different then the other forums? Well, I'd hope we can have the same quality, yet cool discussions around technology that's used in an IT environment.

For instance:
how much RAM is enough
new server configs
RAID systems
what's your back up setup (so hard to find good advice or reviews of backup systems)
web reports
remote administration
bandwith monitoring
networking equipment
etc...

I really think a forum is better format then a canned FAQ or article. A forum that will help me make good decisions and colaberate with peers etc...
 
You have some good ideas, but I don't know if there'd be enough people here who would use it. For the most part, the people dealing with high end stuff seem to post in Networking or Highly Technical.

In conclusion, I doubt it will be happening.
