Well? I think the new Taurus looks pretty nice, although it took some time to grow on me.

Looks ok on it's own, but it looks like the Titanic compared to most sedans on the road, it's the livin' large marge barge.

We are looking for a sedan for about $35K. The SHO being one of them but I keep going back to a G37. The 335 seems nice but I'm not sure if BMW dealers are flexible on pricing.

In SHO form it's pretty neat...but the design is not to my liking overall. Love the idea of the turbo engine though and the interior is pretty swank. Haven't driven one to have any real opinion with regard to dynamics.

I do like it, but it is very big... Saw an SHO in person today while driving..

I do like it in SHO trim, but in standard trim some of the crappy chrome has to go, it just looks like crap (chrome in general)

Depends on the type of Ford. Their heavy duty trucks are easily worth that, or more.

OTOH, spending $40k on a Taurus is like pissing your money away. If you're dead set on buying a $40k Ford sedan, at least get a Lincoln MKS.

You can get a brand new 2010 Taurus for just under $23,000.

I like it. If I needed such a large vehicle I might consider one. But, my 08 Accord is already plenty big. The Taurus is 8.6" longer and 3.5" wider.

I don't know... I haven't driven one but I might choose a i4 2011 Accord over this
Both are fwd

SUV in disguise. If you've seen the Lincoln MKS in the lane next to you, you'll know what I mean.

I like it and think it compares pretty darn well against other large sedans. It's definitely a better looking car than the previous Taurus.

Also, why are people throwing around numbers like $40k? It's MSRP starts at $25k and you can most likely get it for less than that right now. Sure, if you want the SHO with all the bells and whistles it will start getting awfully close to $40k but honestly for its specs and features it's still a competitive price. I think that it's partially the fact that its a Ford and people aren't used to thinking about a Ford that competes in this market segment (large, powerful and pretty nice interior). Honestly even with the past history for the Taurus SHO I'm a bit surprised that they didn't make it as a Lincoln just so that people weren't saying "$40k for a Taurus?"

They did..................... the car is basically identical to the Lincoln MKS.

I like gas mileage! :D
I SHOULD save my money... but I like cars! I don't need one... I really want an RDX though! I need to graduate college faster! :D:D:D

They really aren't that different.

I'm getting better mpg with my V6 than most on their i4 @ driveaccord.net
Most V6 drivers are only 1-2mpg behind the i4s.

RDX is a joke. They've improved them since they came out but then you couldn't even get it with a powered passenger seat. And if you like good gas mileage forget the RDX.

Subaru Forester Height: 65.9 in (1673.9 mm)

Ford Taurus/Lincoln MKS Height: 60.6 - 61.7 in

The MKS is 4 inches shorter than a Subaru Forester.

I like them a lot. With it and the facelifted Fusion, and the new Focus Ford is really coming out with some good looking cars.

I loved the RDX it made me feel so connected to the car, and it would be nice to haul shit. My mom used to get 25+ which I could work with due to its size. A lot of people didnt like the car but I loved it. If you drive it without spooling up the turbo you can get decent gas millage.

I agree, thank god they got rid of who ever was designing stuff in the early 2000's!
