Anyone been through or know of someone who has been to University of Central Florida - Information Technology or Computer Science programs?

I'm interested in going there but just wanted to get some first (or second) hand opinion.

Thanks,
Gage

I just graduated from UCF's IST program and know many people in IST, IT, and CS. Are you looking for specific information? I've heard good things from everyone, theres the bad teachers and there s the good teachers.

Well, I just wanted a general opinion of the program as a whole. What do people say about it after they have gone through? I basically want to major in database developement and administration while minoring in networking. The strait CS is not that interesting to me. But I didn't see the IST program. What is that like? What was your emphasis?

Thanks,
Gage

IST was great - you get a little bit of knowledge of EVERYTHING (telephony, lan, wan,db,programming, etc) - but some of the classes seems useless - take a look at the course list and desccriptions and see if its what you like - talk to Dr. Eaglin and Dr. Motlagh in the departments, they'll set you the right way.
