I don’t like Adobe company, but I have to use some their products, for example Adobe Illustrator. Several days ago I opened .ai file and saw - An unknown error has occurred. I repeated the process couple times, error didn’t disappear. Also tech support of Adobe, didn’t aid me, that’s why I don’t like it. Did someone heard how to restore adobe illustrator files?

Also learn from this: never only have one copy of anything that you care about.

Have at least one copy external to the PC, and ideally another copy or more off-site. Amazon S3 and glacier storage is cheap, and easy to use with Cloudberry Bucket Explorer.

Added to that, never have only one version of a document that you care about. Document corruption happens, accidental bad edits happen. If you have only one version copied everywhere then you will write over all of your copies with the damaged version.
