I've been using a Droid X since they came out (the original model) and it's been pretty good, but it's getting a bit flaky and definitely outdated.

I figured I'd try to hold out for the Samsung S4, but that wasn't happening with things just not running right. So I went to the local Sam's club to buy a couple things and I figured I'd go by the cell phone display.

I had an upgrade for my droid, and it cost $98.44. I was all over that! Oh the phone? The Galaxy Note II. It's big, but like the honey badger I don't give a crap about that, as I have large pockets and I use my phone instead of a laptop a whole lot of the time. The screen size makes a reasonable alternative to tablets, and it's 4G. Did a speed test and it's 15 down and 10 up. The display? Incredible.

I'm happy.

Man hands? If that's the one I'm thinking of it's slightly too large to be comfortable as a phone but slightly better for other things.

Wrong forum. I do, however, envy you as the Note 2 is the phone I want right now. 'tis a thing of beauty and I, like you, love the bigger size as my hands and pockets are both of adequate size to accommodate the beast.

I'm hoping the Note 3 will be ready to go later this year so I can upgrade then.

That's a huge upgrade.

yeah I want the SGS3 or the note. the battery is supposed to be good and the phone itself is a beast.

I do have to admit I miss the hell out of my old X. It was my 2nd, I super <3 this phone, and my first, I <3 this smart phone

Who's your carrier? Never seen Note 2 below $100 anywhere.

I just can't get past the hyper touch sensitive buttons. If it was hardware buttons only I would be in agreement and probably own one. Although the HTC One is making me think real hard about it...

I wonder if there's a way to adjust the sensitivity. I adapted to mine in a few minutes. The difference between this and my old phone is amazing, plus Jelly Bean is similarly impressive over 2.2

Those are all configurable in build.prop, afaik. Of course root required for such. Maybe there are apps?

droid x was an awesome phone for its time, it was the first really good android phone and certainly deserves to be carved into the cell phone mt rushmore, but that was an awesome upgrade to note 2, although you might have envy next month when sg4 comes out, thats truly a new generation
