It claims "Wireless network detected" then I click and nothing

I just got my T43 a few days ago. I removed the IBM partition and fresh installed XP. I then installed all needed drivers from IBM. I do not remember if at this point the wireless was available, but I'm pretty sure it was. Anyways, I then disabled/changed several services in services.msc.

Now, I cannot get wireless connectivity. When I boot up my computer, I get a little bubble that says "wireless network detected" Once I click on that to continue, however, it claims there are no available wireless connections.

Any idea what is going on? Could I have disabled some service that would be affecting this? i think it is unlikely though because I did leave "Wireless Zero Configuration" on automatic.

You might be the victim of the useless Non-Functional Services Disable Voodoo groups.

Could be that you disabled a service that is needed for proper Network functions.

It is a guessing or trial and error unless you enable everything.

If the services are set corretly this might help.

Yeah, I must have disabled some network service, though I keep running through the list and don't see what it could be.

I guess I should just restore to factory defaults, only touch those I know 100%....
