IT Category

Well how about a Forum to discuss issues more pertinent to IT? Like if somebody has questions about Exchange 2003, SQL 2005 or some questions about Spanning-Tree Protocol? The high technical forum seems to be more about discussions about like the temperature of space our Quantum mechanics. The Networking forum seems more geared towards people with questions about there home network not Enterprise level network level questions. How about a discussion about the best way to backup VMware ESX server 3.5 drive on a SAN? It just seems like in this forum there is a lot of people in the IT field and we should be able to carry on a discussion about the pluses and minuses of RAID 5 vs RAID 0_1 on a SAN without having postings about somebody with a slow Hard Drive on there home computer in the same category area. It just seems like overall the current forums the discussions are geared towards people with home computers and home networks. I mean no offense to anyone but sometimes I want to able to talk about computers issues at a different level than what the home user experiences. How about a place for people that can discuss IT issues at the Enterprise level? I hope this was specific enough. Thanks

This is an awesome idea. A place for network admins to meet, discuss upgrades, problems they've encountered, etc would put to good use.

At first it can be pretty general and then in the future break it out when we find out what people are asking. I, for one, would be a huge user of that forum. I hope this is serously considered.
