IT CAME TODAY!!!!

um, I always play the exact guitar im buying before i give anyone money.. this way if it sucks, (even if its a good brand) it doesn't screw you over even if they refund/exchange it it takes time energy and money...

Nice!

What kind of sound do you get out of that pedal? I haven't seen that before.

I was in the guitar store the other day and saw a set of pickups with Zakk Wylde on the box....supposedly what he uses. If that's the case, those may be my next purchase.

Actually, I played this guitar at a music store and, then purchased it at Musicinsfriend because it cost more at the store and haggling didn't work. :|

That pedal produces some HEAVY sound. I was amazed, since it was $50.
Also, it lets me pinch harmonics with ease and also it adds the convenience of switching from clean to distorted without stopping, leaning over and pushing the button on my amp.
I haven't heard about those pickups...as far as I knew, I thought he used EMG-81s on his guitar.
He must have some beasty hands too.
His Signature Strings are freakin THICK!!

Wow, those ARE heavy. He's simply amazing though. I recently saw him live in a very small venue and I was very very impressed.

Zakk is just amazing. Him and Dimebag Darrel (RIP) are guitar wizards.

Rock on, dude... must be a treat to be playing the ESP instead of the Squier (unless you got one of the few good Squiers)
Does Musician's Friend still offer the 30 day guarantee?

you'd be surprised how much difference there is between individual instruments, even on super high-end models.

I just looked, and MF has a 45 day satisfaction guarantee, so if you get a lesser instrument you can return it for another one.

The ESP is great, but don't get my wrong. I love playin' the 'ol squier. The feel of the neck is not like my ESP. Got a different feel, y'know? Anyway, I don't think I'm gettin' rid of the Squier.

a little late, but the pics are off the camera and formatted. uploading now.

Acoustics
The one on the left is my Norman B20. Solid Spruce top. Cherry sides and back. This is my first guitar. I bought it in Kingston, Ontario on a whim. One of the nicest sounding acoustics I've heard. I think it sounds about as good as my brother's Taylor.

The one on the right is the Rogue that I bought for the missus.

Missus with her guitar
She was jealous of the time I spend playing, so she said she wanted to learn. I picked up this Rogue from MF for $40 .. it plays much nicer than a $40 guitar. Not as nice as my Norman, but I wouldn't expect it to.

Electrics
Left is an Epiphone Alleykat in Vintage Burst. Classic 57 Humbucker at the bridge. New York mini humbucker at the neck. Very nice tone out of each. I managed to price match a MF closeout at Guitar Center and snagged this baby for $300. Worth every penny and then some.

Right is an Epiphone Les Paul Standard Plus. It's been completely rewired to get rid of the crappy Epi wiring harness and switch.

I don't have any. All it takes is a bit of desire and some lessons. I've only been "playing" for 4 months now, although I've owned a guitar for 3 years. I started taking lessons in January and I can already play alot. You'd be surprised at how fast you can pick it up.
