Issues with video playback

I have a 7800GT using winxp have tried new video drivers to no avail.

The basic issue is that if i have other programs running WOW or limeware my video playback is blank but still recieve the sound.

Also if i got into the options and change something or dont change anything the window remains in the media player window.

I have tried other players i.e quicktime with similar issues. Any ideas ???

does the video work when wow or limeware are not running or every single time no matter what running?

You need to activate the Video Mixing Renderer. Not sure if Quicktime has this option. Windows Media Player does in tools->options->performance->advanced->'use high quality mode'.
