I need a little help guys. Pretty much anytime I start to use my comp, it starts crashing with brief views of BSODs. Whenever Windows restarts and I send in the error report, Microsoft is convinced its a problem with a driver. I've tried reinstalling everything and nothing helped, I even reformatted and then couldn't install Windows because it crashed.

Now this same computer had been working fine and I had switched out the RAM, so I would naturally assume the problem is there. And sure enough, I put a 1:2 divider on the RAM and everything works now. However, last night I ran Memtest for 8 hours and got zip.

In summary, I really don't know where the problem is. Everything seems to point to the RAM except Memtest. Is it possible I have an issue with my MB? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

BTW, does anyone know how I can get rid of that stupid LanParty screen on bootup so I can actually see the POST?

The system is restarting after the BSOD because of a bios setting. Look for this BIOS setting and disable it so the system will not automatically reboot after the error.

It seems as if this system has been overclocked. Try backing off the system speed a few MHz and see if that helps. Your system seems unstable. If you cannot even install the operating system, then something is very wrong with the settings. I really do not remember enough of the overclocking procedure at the moment to provide more precise help than that.

Try undoing whatever the most recent configuration change was.

Try setting the BIOS back to its default settings, then run stability tests on the system, such as Memtest and Prime95-after WinXP is reinstalled.

A basic troubleshooting routine would be to put the BIOS back to its default settings and ensure the hardware is stable. If the hardware is stable, then overclocking can be performed. Hopefully, you are following Zebo's overclocking guide.

I didn't do any overclocking. Everything is running at stock settings. Do you think my RAM is messed up? Can it be if it does 18 passes of memtest w/o errors?

Thanks for the help.

That logo is teh lame. If you go into the Bios there is a setting in there to turn the logo off, I am not sure where it is at the moment I am having a brain fart......You are able to turn it off though, it shouldn't be too hard to find, i believe it's towards the bottom of the page in one of the areas.
