Comcast installed HD today, won' t go into the hassles there. Once it was up:
- The HD picture shrinks. Normal channels ar 4:3 filling top to bottom with black bars on right and left. HD channels are smaller image, bars on top and bottom, bigger bars on side.
- The resolution visually looks the same (though a little sharper with the smaller size). Hard to be sure, but not the 'wow' quality I heard about with HD on this TV.
- There's a flickering black an white line at the top of the picture on HD channels.
Any ideas? The Comcast is configured as they suggest.
While I'm at it one more thing: some sources like DVD seems to fit in too small a box on the screen; cycling through the aspect choices doesn't seem to find a good one.
