I sold a Canon 40d kit on another forum to a guy and he received the camera and says there was a scratch put on the top LCD of the camera during transit from the plastic buckle on the stock 40d strap. I've never scratched the top LCD w/ a plastic strap in all of the SLRs I've ever had. There was no scratches on the camera when I sent it out But, I'm fair so I requested pictures of the damage to see what kind of action I should take.
The guy refused twice to provide pictures of the damage and I'm at a loss on to what my next approach should be since he says that if I don't PP him the cost to purchase the replacement parts he will do a chargeback. I do however have the funds and they are already withdrawn from the paypal account.
Hypothetically, If I can't make him happy and he turns into a bigger douche than what he already is.. What's the possible outcomes?
Edit:
I called Paypal and they pretty much said that theyre no help. Because theyre not out to protect sellers as much as buyers.
Cliffs:
1. Sold a Camera to a guy
2. Guy claims scratch on the top LCD.
3. I request Pics, guy refuses.
4. He threatens chargeback.
