Hello all... I wasn't sure whether I should put this here or in software, but here goes.

Anytime I use Media Center with an MPEG-2 decoder that has hardware acceleration support, like PureVideo or PowerDVD, my computer plays the video for a second and the monitors go black (like it's going to sleep). I hear sound for another few seconds before the computer restarts.

Any ideas? Processor is an AMD Opteron 165 (with dual core optimization driver installed), asus nforce4 mobo, etc...

Thanks,
Bill

Sounds like bad drivers or another similar software issue. Also, I'd highly recommend using PowerDVD's software with the PowerDVD codec (unless you use something nicer like MPC) as WMP/MCE has some known issues dealing with the PowerDVD codec (but nothing like the problem you are describing).
