Issues with dropped connections on RT314

I've had a NetGear RT314 Cable/DSL router set up at my house for probably the better part of a year without any issues.
However as of late (~past 2 months) it seems something peculiar and baffling is going on.

I have 2 PCs, 1 server and a Audiotron (streaming MP3 player) hooked up to the RT314. Everything will be working fine, I'll be surfing, playing, doing whatever when my inet connection will drop on all the machines. THey can all still see eachother, meaning the router is still doing internal LAN routing but it can NOT get to the internet itself. So I will log into the NetGear web interface (http://192.168.0.1), simply run through the set up wizard (3 quick clicks) and it will be back up and running immediately. It's gotten so bad, my wife actually has figured out how to do this and does it on a daily basis.

I never have to touch my cable modem, so obviously I'm not losing it's connection just the "communication" between rotuer and modem seems to die.

I've tried doing DHCP settings on the router, static settings everthing and it's all the same results. And tried DHCP and static on the PC's server etc.

Any ideas? Any input? This is driving me crazy.

I was thinking about just grabbing a new rotuer from BB and see if that will be a cure. If, not returning it. I know its evil and "wrong" but I'm at my wits end.

On that note, any recommendations on routers? Been a while since I looked.

TIA
