Hi,

We're experiencing some serious issues with our brand new PC that we built.
For example, our video editing software (Adobe Premiere CC, After Effects CC etc) is experiencing lags in the user interface and playback. Only sometimes in the first few seconds it will playback normally, but will lag soon after. The user interface on the other hand always lags.

Also scaling the windows explorer or firefox window stutters like hell, thus indicating an issue with the graphics card.

The BIOS is running with the newest version and I've installed all the latest motherboard and graphics card drivers, but no luck there. All temps are normal too.

What could be the issue?

Our build is as follows:

i7-4930K
Asus p9x79-e ws
MSI GTX 780 OC
32GB G.Skill 2400Mhz 10-12-12-31
Samsung 840 EVO 250GB
2x WD Black 3TB
Corsair RM1000 PSU
Noctua NH-D14 CPU cooler

Thanks in advance!

Is there a graphics card. Sorry if I missed it.
Didn't see it in your build info. I wonder if you're running off of integrated by mistake.

Remove the graphics card and use the IGP. See if you experience the same stuttering. Also, if you have access to another graphics card, use that. Again, see if you experience the same stuttering.

Unfortunately, the MOBO doesn't support IGP and thus no HDMI out.
However, I did move the GPU to a different slot, which so far seems to have mediated the issue up to now (it's running smoothly for about 5 minutes now).

Then still the question remains: what causes this problem?
That being said, I did forgot to mention that I also have a Blackmagic Design Decklink Mini Monitor card installed in the 1st PCI-E slot, followed by the GPU in slot 3, which according to the installation guide of Blackmagic Design Resolve is the correct placement of the parts. I also haven't been able to get the Decklink Mini Monitor to work, but it is recognised in windows. Could there be something wrong with the motherboard?

I can't remember the connector but it's basically a Sata power port for stability on PCI-e is that connected
