I have been racking my brain over this one but I am unable to get my RAID array and my board to play nice and to let the OS drive boot into Windows. I installed Windows Server 2008 Enterprise on my RAID 1 setup and it works fine, but when I plug in the RAID card, the system does not boot. It will hang just before the bootloader kicks in for the OS. I have updated the firmware on the card and updated the BIOS on the board to the latest release but to no avail.

The specs on the server are as followed:

Intel Core 2 Duo e6300
Intel DG33TL
4x 1GB DDR2-667
2x 160GB Seagate 7200.10 in RAID 1 (onboard Intel Matrix RAID)
4x 320GB Seagate 7200.10 in RAID 5 (via Promise FastTrak TX4310 PCI SATAII RAID card)

Solved it. It was so simple that I didn't think about it until I read up on the firmware release notes. I pressed "Space Bar" to skip the BIOS on the card and therefore, bypassing the need for the system to think that there was something installed on the card. :/ Hopefully if I try to reapply the firmware it will be solved.
