I just put together a new system;

BFG 680i SLI
BFG 8800gts G92
Q6600
SATA WD 250gb HD
SATA samsung DVD burner
SATA Liteon DVD burner

I keep getting blue screens, Ill plug in a sata drive, get a blue screen, then unplug it and it goes away. Ill even get a blue screen randomly, unplug a sata drive that has been working and then the blue scrrens will stop for a while. I looked on BFGs site and they had a hotfix listed for my exact problem but its not working. I downoaded their fix and when I run it, it says that the hotfix has already been applied to my system. Any ideas?

bump, anyone?

I have the latest BIOS installed and the latest motherboard chipset drivers. I can only run the system with the hard drive plugged in. If I plug in one of the the DVD drives I get a blue screen. I know the DVD drives work, they have been tested in another system.

You listed 3 SATA devices in your original post yet no PATA device, so it's a little confusing. Do you have a PATA drive as a boot drive, and the problem occurs when you add a SATA drive?

I dont have any PATA devices. My SATA HD is my boot drive, Vista is installed there and worked just fine. THe problems only started when I plugged in a SATA DVD drive.
