Issues w/Dell 2001FP

Hi folks,

Well my Dell 2001FP LCD is here and I'm not sure if it's working properly or not. I have the DVI interface setup, but can not use Auto Adjust or play around with the contrast settings... Also, the screen is VERY bright when viewing anything with a white background. I have also noticed some graininess with text and some digital photo's. What gives? Why can't I adjust contrast or use Auto Adjust?

My specs are:

Nov 03 Build Date

B9D Version

Radeon 9800 Pro

Dell XPS

Any advice? I'm not sure I want to keep the monitor....

There is a thread in the hot deals forum with alot of peeps with the same prob/ Some get near perfect 1's, some are crud, I ordered 1, and hope its 1 of the better. Anyhow, I read somewhere that you need to turn the brightness wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy down on the monitor, and if I remember correctly, something about right clicking "settings" in the graphic cards settings to change contrast? You'll have to read the thread yourself I guess.
