Issues running clockgen

I just downloaded clockgen and the only thing it picks up is my cpu speed. I have a Q9650 on a Dell Optiplex 960. I know I cant overclock much, but I wouldnt mind shooting for a mild overlock. Is there something I'm missing or need to do? I downloaded CPU-Z and it was able to read all the hardware info. I did a quick read of the FAQ but not sure how to proceed.

Nice computer, but I don't think you can overclock a Dell. OEM computers usually have tight restrictions on what you can and cannot do.

He's not talking about overclocking through the BIOS.😉

tontod, download SetFSB, instead of ClockGen. The last I heard, it was working very well with OEM computers.

I downloaded SetFSB. However, when I click on the Get FSB button, it says my bus speed is 75 Mhz 😕

When using setfsb you need to find out which clock generator your board is using and then pick that one from the list.

Ah ok. Do I get that info from CPUID?

No,it is on the board itself. It looks like this.

Hopefully setfsb has a profile for the clock generator your board uses.
