Hello everyone,

I am looking to buying a new laptop soon and due to my nature of work, I am in need of a dual screen laptop. I have a seen a lot of reviews regarding both of these laptops and also am aware that the 2025 versions of these models are coming soon. However just wanted to get some insight on the issues of these laptops (as YouTube reviews won't tell em, just tell the good part).

The current laptop I have is of ASUS and man oh man it's filled with issues and giving me nightmares. I was looking for reviews from people who have experience with these two laptops.

Issues I'm looking for insight are on for BOTH laptops are:

-speaker sound quality

-driver and hardware issues like driver errors randomly, etc

-heating issue (if any)

-fan noise

-the laptop's cooling system

-battery life

Would really appreciate for insights and I hope this thread can be useful for people in the future as well.

Hi! I got the OG Zenbook Duo 2024 with the i7 and 16GB RAM. The experience was great overall; I had some battery issues but was able to fix them by disabling Fast Boot in Windows. As for the screens, they were just amazing—my first ever OLED laptop. And the speakers were great; they were clear and loud. Surprisingly, there were not many driver issues and stuff; it was very well polished. Cooling was decent, nothing crazy.

My speakers died 1.2 years in, so I got a refund through my warranty. I got the laptop at Micro Center and I immediately got the newest Zenbook Duo with the i9 and 32GB RAM. The upgrade was insane! Battery life improved and the new 3K panels were even better, especially the 120Hz part. I will probably stick to the Zenbook Duo lineup for the foreseeable future.

One note is that Linux does not work well on the Zenbook Duo. The bottom screen is always on and the Bluetooth keyboard acts up.
