Issue with windows minimizing to desktop

I have been having an issue for a couple of weeks where all windows will minimize to desktop about every half an hour without me telling them to. While windows simply get pulled out of "active" status, any full screen programs minimize to taskbar unexpectedly, often causing them to crash when I try to pull them back up.

Does anyone know what might be causing this annoying problem? I have already run adaware, spybot, and mcaffee virus scanner and it is still happening. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
 
You might check your power settings in Control Panel to "Always On." Sometines minimizing happens on a timed basis for power saving settings.
