I have a four-year-old Samsung French door refrigerator/freezer with the freezer on the bottom.
Not long after I bought the Samsung, some of the ice in the freezer started to clump up in the tray (I realize now that it was probably melting slightly), and more recently the freezer hasn't been producing much ice. The ice it does produce in the tray looks wet. About a month ago, the refrigerator stopped cooling, so we called a repair service, and the technician said it's a problem with the sensor. So he changed the sensor, but the fridge still didn't work. He came back and said that Samsung has a glitch in the system--one sensor affects the other (fridge sensor affects the freezer), so he changed the freezer sensor. The ice in the freezer continued to look wet and clumped up in the tray as usual, but the fridge never really cooled well.
Now, as of a day ago, the refrigerator doesn't cool at all and my ice cream melted in the freezer. I reset both the fridge and refrigerator, and turned on Power Cool and Power Freeze, and that brought the temp down in both, but not for long. All the food in the freezer is now defrosting and the fridge feels warm-ish.
Meanwhile, the sensor for the freezer reads -3F and the sensor for the fridge says -34F. Clearly, those readings are wrong.
Anyone have a similar experience? Any suggestions?
