Issue with my projector

Ok so a friend of mine literally handed over his old projector to me. Its a nice quaint little 3100mp from Dell. I hook the thing in and its giving me some insane issues.

Namely it casts rather pale (puke) green on anything with a black pixel. I've verified this and notice that all the other colors show up brilliantly other than black. Its the one color that seemed to have shifted to this green.

I'll try to get a digital pic if I can.

I was wondering if there is anything I can do. (short of sending it off to get fixed and costing me major bucks.) Is there any way I can filter out this green? None of the color controls work . Althought adjusting brightness did help the pick some (basically eliminating the darker pixels).

Any help would be appreciated.

These user reviews can help a little. It is a 2002 model, and probably needs a new bulb (expensive).
