Issue with MS Excel, formulas wont update

Issue with MS Excel=
For some reason my excel spreedsheets dont automatically update formulas. For example if cell A10 is set up so that =Sum(A1:A9), it will give me the sum. However, if I change A4 it will not affect the sum in A10..I tried a couple of things, but the problem persists. Please help. Thanks
 
Tools > Options > Calculations: make sure your calcs are on automatic, not manual.

If you want them on manual, hit F9 to update. If that doesn't work, try Ctrl+Alt+F9
